Marie Small

Background: Marie moved from Wellington to Dunedin to study Occupational Therapy where she stayed to raise her teenage son.    

Marie began her occupational therapy journey working in adult community mental health before moving into work with youth.

Expanding her skill base, she shifted into private rehab, specialising in chronic pain programmes for a couple of years, but once again have returned to the work which inspires her the most -Tamariki, rangatahi and whanau ora.

Qualifications: Occupational Therapy degree

Interests: reading, writing (an ideas person and one day would like to finish one of the many books she has started!), cooking, dinner parties, creating, dancing, biking, barre base

Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Background: Originally from Auckland, Alastair trained at the University of Auckland School of Medicine. Alastair has worked and trained in England, Scotland, New Zealand, and Australia. Alastair has a special interest in Māori mental health, psychotherapy,  child and adolescent mental health and whanau therapy. Alastair also brings his vast experience in organisational general management, case management, training and supervision skills and has assisted in the establishment of a charitable trust.
